Where storms came ashore

HURDAT2 marks 1,347 landfall records in the two basins, each placed here in the state, province or country whose coast it lies on. Each of the 34 areas with eight or more storms has its own page; Florida leads with 229 storms. The Atlantic file has no landfall records for 1976 to 1982, and the Pacific file keeps them almost only from 1989 on.

All 78 areas

Counts are storms, not landfall records: a storm that crossed one coast twice counts once there.
