Hurricane Tracks is provided for reference and general interest. It describes the historical best-track record and is not a forecast, warning or safety service.

The data

Best-track data comes from NOAA's National Hurricane Center and is a work of the United States government. Coastlines, boundaries and place names come from Natural Earth, which is in the public domain. The analysis, maps and text on this site are prepared with care, but they may contain errors, and the source itself carries real uncertainty, above all before the satellite era. Do not rely on the site for decisions about safety, property, insurance or money.

Reuse

You may quote figures from the site with a link to the page and credit to NOAA's National Hurricane Center as the source of the data. The site's design and text are not to be copied wholesale.

Links

Links to other sites are given for reference; Hurricane Tracks is not responsible for their content.
